Review 1: Poetry and painting from effervescent youth!

Review 2: Preeta Chandran's collection of poetry, The Painted Verses, shares its eclecticism and joy in poetry with the artist Pankaj Kumar Saxena's stunning artwork. Ranging from the lyrical and sensual to nature and love poems, from poems of every day experiences to the personal, the poems in the book are infused with vivid imagery, claims of identity, and celebrations that confront both past and present. The creative energy of both the poems and the artwork imbues all things, while the well-being we experience as readers is the essence of life itself. Thus we have life's energy: handed down from both poet and artist to realize our potential. This lively range of visual and contemplative work builds an intimate sense of the art and personal lives of this appealingly interesting duo, in way both enlightening and entertaining.

Review 3: The Painted Verse is a beautiful blend of poetry and painting. The poetry is powerful, rich, and beautifully penned and the paintings are a visual treat. Together, they make a brilliant combination.
