Author Bio: Nasreen Munni Kabir is a London-based documentary film-maker and author of eleven books on Hindi cinema, including Guru Dutt: A Life in Cinema, Talking Films with Javed Akhtar, Lata Mangeshkar . . . In Her Own Voice and four books featuring the dialogue of Mughal-e-Azam, Awaara, Mother India and Pyaasa. Her most recent publication is A.R. Rahman: The Spirit of Music. Her many documentaries, produced for Channel 4 TV (UK), include Follow that Star (a profile of Amitabh Bachchan), the forty-nine-part series Movie Mahal and The Inner/Outer World of Shah Rukh Khan.
