Review 1:
''A scholarly study that is certainly the only one of its kind. das lays out for us a vast and staggeringly exhaustive array of materials ordered in quasi-chronological fashion....glossary found at the back of the book is also excellent & is perhaps the book`s most useful aspect.''

Review 2:
''...deserves respect from all those interested in serious research into the ancient Indian wisdom.... deserves special respect for the scholarly exposition of the subject matter under study...... very serious book that needs to be studied in depth to get at the core of the matter..... any library worth its salt must have a copy of the book.''
