Ten Days to a Mindful Me captures the dramatic transformation that the author experienced as a result of attending a silent retreat. Inner Pilgrimage is in an inviting memoir format, but reads like fiction. Although peppered with spiritual mumbo-jumbo, the book's non-spiritual message is clear to the lay person: Developing the faculties of self-awareness and empathy allows individuals to not only nurture their emotional maturity, but also helps them create a deeply satisfying life of freedom.

Author Bio: A ten-day vipassana meditation retreat that Raji Lukkoor attended in the summer of 2008 in North Fork, California, inspired her to write about her spiritually transforming journey. Raji holds a master's degree in environmental engineering from San Jose State University, California. Her passion for writing has led her for nearly twenty years now, to write for government and technology companies in Silicon Valley, and provide volunteer writer services for non-profit organizations throughout the world. She has won many writing contests, including winning the United Nations award for essay writing in 2003. Born and raised in Goa, India, Raji now resides in California, USA, with her husband and two sons.

Review: "A brilliant account of Vipassana Meditation course (that) Raji Lukkoor did."
--Retd. Police Commissioner, author, fervent vipassana advocate, winner of the "Asian Nobel" prize, and "Pride of India" Dr. Kiran Bedi.

"Raji writes about her experiences with a keen sense of observation that is both amusing and instructive. To anyone reading her story, it is like a taking a co-journey into what happens during the vipassana meditation retreat."
--Life Positive magazine

"The description is so picturesque and captivating that you feel as if you have plunged into Raji's sea of words and encountered a spiritual experience so deep that it feels like your own experience."
