Author Bio: M.K. Venkatnarayan (B. 1933), a postgraduate in Management from XLRI, Jamshedpur, retired as a senior executive in productivity and Total Quality; enginneering division of TATA STEEL. After retirement, he took to reading and writing on various issues relating to Indic culture. His deep interest in Carnatic music exposed him to bhajans in many vernacular languages. Besides many articles in magazines and on the Internet, Narayan also has two books to his credit, entitled, Exploring the Hindu Mind, and Lyrical Musing on Indic Culture: A Sociological Study of Songs of Sant Purandara Dasa.
