Author Bio:
Dr K Nagalakshmamma, is working as an associate professor of sericulture in Sri Padmavati Women's University, Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, India. She has 23 years of teaching experience and 20 years of research experience. To her credit, she published 25 research papers in national/international journals. She is a member, Board of Studies in Sericulture, Botany, Bioinformatics, College of Engineering in SPMVV, Tirupati. She is a post graduate in Agriculture and obtained a doctoral degree in sericulture. Subsequently she qualified herself in Bioinformatics by obtaining one yes diploma course in Bioinformatics. She was the founder Head In charge of the Dept of Bio Informatics at SPMVV. She standardized the grainage techniques for eri silk worm, Samia Cynthia Racini. She has evaluated and identified the newly evolved bivoltine races of Mysore University, which tolerates Rayalaseema climatic conditions. She advocated promising crossbreeds (hybrids) of Bombyx mori. L. suitable to Rayalaseema region of Andhra Pradesh.
