Author Bio: Professor K Kathiresan from the centre of Advanced study in Marine Biology of Annamalai University has spent a life time studying mangroves. He conducts training programs on mangroves internationally and has published papers with B L Bingham in Advances in Marine Biology. Padma Shri And Padama Bhushan Prof. S Z Qasim is among the finest marine scientists known globally. He is an authority on the Indian Ocean. He has published 9 books and hundreds of scientific papers.
